This course focuses on creative and technical issues related to the production of digital images for multimedia and the Web. It emphasizes concept development and application of design principles and color theory to imaging for visual storytelling. Technical issues include storyboarding, drawing for the moving image, image creation, and photo manipulation using industry-standard imaging software such as Adobe Photoshop. Students acquire the knowledge and skills required to create compelling image sequences for linear and non-linear narratives using the digital medium through lectures, examples of professional work, and hands-on projects.
